• specifically for potable water:
Munkadur TW All lining systems are formulated and tested Munk + Schmitz Oberflächentechnik GmbH & Co. KG: airblasting equipment by our own laboratory and comply with the stringent requirements of the
food law (Munkadur Classic + GL) and potable water law (Munkadur TW). Ask for airblasting equipment literature, references and samples!
Formulation, production and application - all in one hand!
From
preparing the surface by blastcleaning to final
inspection of the lined surface: all work is exclusively done by our expert personnel - or qualified licensees worldwide - using specially engineered
equipment:
Surface preparation
Professional preparation of the airblasting equipment substrate is the basis for a subsequent lining.
Depending on its condition the tank surface must first be prepared by welding or concrete work.
Steel tanks are then blastcleaned to roughen the airblasting equipment surface and obtain the desired finish.
The result is verified by measuring the roughness.

Application of Munkadur
Our Munkadur lining material is applied under strict control of the ambient parameters (temperature and humidity of the air).
The solvent-free lining is airblasting equipment applied by means of special spraying guns with layer thicknesses between 400 and 800 µm.
A sample of the lining is kept for later comparison.
Inspecting the tank surface
To guarantee a long operational reliability of the tank we measure the thickness of the layer and inspect the lining for freedom from pores.
Any imperfections found can then be touched up.
Following curing for about 7 days and a final basic cleaning the tank is ready for commissioning.
