Blastcleaning of rollers in-situ is a typical application of our blast munkadur systems with blast gun. The blast gun is traversed along the rotating roller which need not be dismounted from the munkadur calender or any other fixture.
Calender rollers used in the plastic foil industry are etched.
Etching at regular intervals is necessary to maintain a consistent, uniform surface finish of the roller.
For blastcleaning munkadur generally aluminium oxide is used.
